Service Verification
Confirm whether required papers were properly served—check the proof, method, timing, and party details against local rules—and issue a clear determination to help with decision-making.
Task Description
Court clerks and self-help staff are often asked, “Was service completed?” or presented with a Proof/Affidavit of Service that needs validation before a case can move forward. This task is about verifying claims of service, not advising on strategy: it checks whether the filing shows who served what, on whom, how, and when, and whether that matches jurisdictional requirements for the specific document and case stage.
Success means court staff can quickly and consistently determine whether service actually occurred in a legally valid way, record a defensible outcome with clear cure steps when needed, and keep cases moving without unnecessary continuances or rejected filings.
