This spreadsheet has all US states, counties, and territories along with standardized FIPS codes for each.
Description
Use this spreadsheet from Stanford Legal Deisgn Lab that has every US state, county, major cities, and terirtories, along with:
- type of jurisdiction
- jurisdiction it belongs in
- standardized FIPS code (like used in the US Census)
- state FIPs code
- county FIPs code
- Total population (2021)
- Adult population (2021)
Use this as you are developing AI tools or other solutions that require a standardized, interoperable way to identify what a person's county or state is.
